Emergency Tree Services Central Coast
Same-day storm response across the Central Coast, covering limbs blown down by east-coast lows and southerly busters, trees on roofs and unstable trunks after overnight wind.
The Central Coast gets two main patterns of tree failure, east-coast lows that park offshore and drive prolonged wind and rain, and fast-moving southerly busters that crack limbs with very little warning. Both can bring down spotted gums, angophoras and paperbarks that looked fine the week before. When that happens we triage by phone first, establish whether anyone is in immediate danger, whether lines are involved, and whether the tree is still shifting, then we send the nearest truck.
If a tree has come down on a structure, our first job on arrival is to stop more damage. That means tarping any roof gap, propping or strapping unstable sections, and clearing access for emergency services or your insurer. Cutting only begins once the scene is controlled. For hung-up limbs that are caught in the canopy, we use throwlines and rigging to bring them down in sections rather than making cuts and hoping the piece falls clear.
Storm work on the Central Coast almost always means an insurance claim. We write up a job report that covers the date and time, weather conditions, the work completed, and our Certificate of Currency, all the documentation an insurer asks for. Home and contents policies generally cover the make-safe and debris removal tied to damage; routine pruning and stump grinding after the fact usually don't qualify unless they're directly connected to the claim.

Emergency Tree Services FAQs
How fast can the crew get to a storm call on the Central Coast?
For genuine emergencies (a tree through a roof, a limb on wires, a road blocked) we aim to be on site within a couple of hours of the call, often quicker in the Gosford and Erina area. For storm cleanup that's urgent but not immediately dangerous, same day or early the following morning is the usual run.
What should I do while waiting for the crew?
Get everyone clear of the tree, especially if it's still moving or making noise. Kill mains power at the metre if any part of the tree is near the service line. Photograph the scene from every angle before anything is moved. Ring Ausgrid on 13 13 88 yourself if power lines are directly involved.
Can storm tree removal go on a home and contents claim?
Usually yes, when the tree has hit an insured structure, the house, a fence, a garage or a car parked at the property. Make-safe work and debris cleanup tied to that damage are typically covered. Ring your insurer before any work is authorised so you have a claim number to go on the invoice.
What about a tree that hasn't fallen yet but looks like it might?
Worth a same-day call regardless. A spotted gum or angophora that has shifted since the last storm (especially one with a hollow butt or a cracked trunk) is a real risk. We can climb it, assess the root plate and the wood condition, and either stabilise it or take the unstable section out before it fails on its own.
