Mulching & Wood Chipping Central Coast
On-site chipping of branches and storm debris across the Central Coast, plus bulk mulch delivery for garden beds and landscaping jobs from Gosford to Wyong.
Most Central Coast customers find us one of two ways, they have a pile of branches from a DIY weekend prune or a storm cleanup and no way to get rid of them, or they're landscaping and need cubic metres of mulch dropped on the block. The chipper takes care of the first problem; the tipper takes care of the second. We can handle both in a single visit if the timing works.
For on-site chipping we bring the machine to your address and run anything up to about 200mm diameter through it. That covers prunings from your own cutting, limbs pulled down in a storm, or green waste left from a block tidy-up. The chip stays on site for you to spread or use, or we can load it into the truck and haul it away. Either way it's cleaner, faster and cheaper than making multiple tip runs with a hired trailer.
For bulk mulch delivery we carry three options, fresh hardwood chip straight off our own removals, which is spotted gum, blackbutt and angophora chip that holds moisture and locks down weeds on paths and around mature trees; aged composted mulch that's broken down enough to feed garden beds and new plantings without tying up nitrogen; and dyed landscape mulch in red or black for formal landscaping where the finished look matters. All delivered by the cubic metre, tipped to your driveway or wherever the truck can reach. Spreading can be added if you don't want to wheelbarrow it yourself.

Mulching & Wood Chipping FAQs
How thick a branch can the chipper handle?
Up to around 200mm diameter clean through, which covers most domestic prunings and storm material. Anything thicker we cut into manageable chunks first, then run the smaller pieces through. Trunk wood heavier than that gets cut into rounds, either left for firewood or hauled away as a separate line item.
What's the difference between fresh and aged mulch?
Fresh chip comes straight off our chipper from a recent removal, mostly spotted gum, blackbutt and angophora. It holds moisture well, suppresses weeds and is perfect around established trees and on paths. Aged mulch has broken down over months and is gentle enough for garden beds and new plantings where fresh chip would temporarily compete with the soil for nitrogen.
How much mulch should I order?
For a 75 to 100mm layer, one cubic metre covers roughly 10 to 13 square metres. Measure the bed, multiply length by width and divide by about 11 to get a rough cubic-metre figure. Call through the dimensions when you order and we'll work it out so you don't end up with a load left over or not enough.
Can the mulch be spread after delivery?
Yes. Tipper delivery is the standard, the truck reverses in and tips the load wherever it can park. If you'd rather not wheelbarrow, add the spreading service to the quote and the crew will rake the mulch across the beds before they leave. Works well for large jobs and anyone who'd rather not handle the physical work.
